Ending the Fall Season

On October 25th the football team faced Collegiate at home. After four hard-fought quarters, Clearwater came out on top. This was also Senior Night and the last home game of the season. All of the seniors who participated in a fall activity were recognized alongside their parents. Senior football player, Drake Beatty said, “ It was comforting to know that my parents were with me at the end of my football career because they were there in the beginning.” Beatty said, “I will miss football forever.” He loved that at each game, the community always showed its support by coming and cheering the team on. 

A senior cheerleader, Tahnae Keeling said, “The senior night game had more significance because I knew it was my last performance.” The cheerleaders did a cheer routine at halftime they had been working on this specific routine for about one month. This was the same routine they planned to do for the Homecoming game but couldn’t do to the weather. Keeling explained, “Getting to walk down the track with my parents was really special to me. My last name is finally the same as my parents and I got walk the track with them by my side.” 

The band also performed at halftime. They played three songs from the movie Aladdin. A Friend Like Me, A Whole New World, and Arabian Nights. Haley Roberts (12) a band member stated, “My favorite thing about the band is the friendships I’ve made while being in the band.” 

Senior Night recognizes seniors who participate in fall sports and activities.
